Farmstay Accommodation

Our Farmstay members are committed to providing their guests with a unique rural experience, and offer warm hospitality in the true Australian tradition. Your hosts will do all they can to ensure that you have a holiday to remember.

Farmstays give guests the opportunity to stay on a huge variety of farms, located all over Queensland. Some grow crops such as sugar cane, wheat, cotton, peanuts and sunflowers. Others raise animals such as sheep, cattle, goats or horses and many are mixed farms.

Many host families have lived on their properties for several generations, and have extensive local knowledge. They can often take you to places of interest nearby, or to meet someone with whom you may have something in common. They are happy, too, to allow you to relax in peace on the verandah with a good book and birdsong for company.

Children are especially welcome in the country as there is so much for them to see and do - from collecting the eggs and feeding the orphan lambs, to trying horse riding or meeting the resident kangaroo.

A country holiday is an opportunity to slow down and step back from a busy lifestyle. It provides time to spend with family and friends, time to soak up the atmosphere of the bush and the all-encompassing peace of rural Australia.
