Rosalie Homestead is located on Rosalie Plains Station 30 kilometres north of Oakey. The homestead is nestled in two acres of established private gardens including rustic outbuildings dating back to the 1860’s. Home to Bernborough, Melbourne cup winner and steeped in history.
The 6 bedroom accommodation is set up in three family suites of two bedrooms and one shared bathroom. Each suite is privately accessed with its own deck area overlooking the gardens. The entire property accommodates 12 guests comfortably. Bedrooms consist of King and/ or extra long single beds. Most rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning / fans. The large open plan living / dining room is ideal for socialising with your family and friends and boasts an open fire place for those winter evenings. A fully self contained kitchen including dishwasher and microwave is designed for entertaining a large number of guests. Quality linen provided. Tennis court and equipment available. Croquet, cricket and other indoor/outdoor activities also provided.
Guests have the opportunity to visit a local dairy farm to view milking, feed the calves and other farm animals. ATV motor bike riding for farm based activities. Horse riding available through Cowboy Up Trail Riding. The venue is ideal for small group retreats. Close to the Bunya Mountains, Jondaryan Woolshed, Cooma Falls, Maidenwell, Maidenwell Astronomical Observatory, Oakey Flying Museum, Muntupa Railway Tunnel (rare bat colony), Highfields precinct, golf courses and wineries.
