The city of Bundaberg is a bustling provincial capital, boasting beautiful heritage buildings proudly mixed with modern architecture, and famous local icons like the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. Cruise the currents of this dynamic river city or use it as your base to explore over 92kms of unspoilt coastline.

As the gateway to the southern section of the Great Barrier Reef and with its Coral Coast, the Bundaberg region offers a countrycoast- reef smorgasbord of activities for tourists. Eco-tourism is popular, with turtle rookeries and offshore diving and fishing spots.

Recreational fishing on inland waterways is also popular. Known to promote its eastern perimeter as the "Coral Coast" - with sheltered beaches at Woodgate, Elliott Heads, Innes Park, Mon Repos, Bargara, Burnett Heads and Moore Park - the region also has eight national parks along its unspoiled coastline, all of which are popular with locals and tourists.
